Schwinn Bicycles have always brought up fond memories for me. As a child of the 80’s I always felt that Schwinn Bicycles were the top-of-the-line. That is why I was excited to hear that Shcwinn was making their own line of Motor Scooters. However, this nostalgia is unfounded. The Schwinn Motor Scooter is simply a purchased name from the now bankrupy Schwinn bicycles. Pacific Cycle, Inc., now owns the Schwinn name. So, I would not buy the Schwinn Motor Scooter’s based on your nostalgia. Schwinn Motor Scooters are not manufactured by Schwinn. The Schwinn Motor Scooter has an air cooled 49.5cc 4 stroke engines and CVT transmissions.
Three models are made, the Campus, the Collegiate and the Graduate. The prices, for the Schwinn Motor Cycle range from $1395 to $1699.
The Schwinn has models which use both an electric and kick start, the Campus uses drum brakes. The Schwinn gets over 100 Mph.
